I have just finished reading the autobiography of Johnny Cash, and although I'm not a great fan of autobiographies, this is definitely one of the best books I have ever read. As cheesy as this sounds, Cash has always been in my life, I just never realised it. His lyrics, ideas and general way of life make alot of sense to me, and despite being very different to him, I feel that I have alot in common with him. I think that might be why he is one of the most famous artists of all time - everyone can see a little part of themselves in Johnny Cash. I would definitely recommend the book to anyone who is remotely interested in Cash himself, religion, music or just life in general. It certainly has a power to both consolidate and challenge your views on just about anything...For me it was religion, ghosts and friendship. " When death starts beating down your door, you need to be reaching for your shotgun. And when you know he might be in your part of town, which is true for anyone my age, you should be taking care of business. Quit gazing out the window at the lake and start telling your stories."
